Buy Your Ticket for Hoover Middle School's 3rd Annual Spring into Learning! March 19th It is that time of year again -- the annual "Spring into Learning" Silent Auction and Fundraiser for Hoover Middle School. It is an excellent opportunity to meet other parents, teachers and staff while investing in improved education for our kids. You can do your part by: 1. Buying your tickets now -- simple click "Donate Now" and contribute $40 per ticket. 2. Bringing your friends -- parties are always better when you come as a group! 3. Donate an item of value to enhance the silent auction - special skill? Vacation home? We'd like you to consider a donation for the event - we'll even come to pick up your item. 2009 Membership Campaign

The Herbert Hoover Parent Foundation was established in 2005 as a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the educational experience for children while attending Herbert Hoover. The foundation finances educational projects that help raise academic achievement and provide improvements to the facility.

County funds are not always available for improvements to the school’s core facilities or for new and innovative programs. These improvements can be funded through private funds. This is why we have the Herbert Hoover Parent Foundation.

Working with Hoover officials, the Foundation identifies critical school needs. Projects include a wide variety of items designed to enhance each child’s experience while at Hoover. The Hoover PTA and the Foundation work together to supports the efforts of the school.

We invite you to become an active member of the foundation. The Board consists of volunteer parents that run our major fundraiser silent auction each spring as well as our annual membership drive. The Board also decides on the disposition of the money raised with the school leadership.

We need your help

Contributions are used to benefit Hoover students. Our goal for the 2009-2010 school year is 100% participation with tax-deductible contributions. This can mean a contribution at the minimum $30 supporting level or a major personal or corporate donation to support a specific effort.

Spring into Learning:

A Silent Auction to Benefit Hoover Education - March 19th

Mark you calendars for the 3rd Annual Hoover Parent Foundation Fundraiser, "Spring into Learning" on March 19th, 2010

This silent auction will benefit education at Hoover Middle School and raise funds to pay for extras for our students, like new band chairs and the Homework Club. Thi is a great way to connect with other Hoover parents, Hoover Teachers and Staff. And it is a lot of fun.

Once again, we will hold the event at one of the most gracious homes in Potomac and feature some excellent auction items.

The Foundation had another excellent year for fundraising, led by the 2nd Annual "Spring into Learning". This silent and live auction dominated our income for the year.

We provided funding for the Homework Club, Promethean Boards and Chairs for the Band room.
